Sol Nenita
First let me say this: I don’t speak any spanish (next time YOU sing in Dutch, okay?). This song was started some time ago with the idea to have it translated into spanish one day. Thanks to Alberto Garcia (US) that is now a fact. Next station: find an spanish language singer to redo this track properly.
Second: this songs needs some thanks.
Brian James Balban (Gibraltar) – who did the first spanish rewrite
Also: Alberto Garcia for the final lyric in spanish. Check out his video & music site at myspace.
An english lyric is available too but for now I think the spanish lyric should have priority.
Spanish lyric: Alberto Garcia, the Americas
Music: Moonpub Music, the Netherlands
STYLE: Latin, Salsa etc.
ES EL SOL NENITA
NO ME CULPES
NO, POR FAVOR
ES EL SOL NENITA
QUIEN PRENDE
EN MI CUERPO LA PASION
Y TE QUIERO SOLO ACARICIAR
NENA ME SIENTO QUEMAR
DAME UN BESO MAS
QUE AHORA EL SOL
AUN BRILLANDO ESTA
ES EL SOL NENITA
QUIEN ENCIENDE MI PASION
VEN ARDAMOS JUNTOS
LOS DOS DE AMOR
Don’t Put Good Lovin’ Up On A Shelf

Strange how songs develop and end up finished. This one started off as an R&B beat after which I decided to make it an BB King blues. But adding the guitar made it rock. Still, the song can be done in all these styles. It can even be country.
Thanks to Shirley again the recording got some nice comments at her songwriter101 forum. But now done, what’s next with this song? Seems to be nice one to pitch. If you see Mick Jagger or Steve Tyler – or any bad boy heading for stardom – tell them to come listen…

Makes Me Wonder
If you really want the cryin and tear in my beer stuff of country music you have to hear Hank Williams – not the music coming from the Nashvillie starmaking machine as it is now. This song started off to see if that “hillibilly shakespeare” music could be updated somehow. A version with fiddle and all is coming up. But for now this sober recording must do.
Yes, I was walking in the woods while singing and playin guitar to this version – I had a pocket field recording device with me, and here’s the result… Okay, let’s do that make believe some more BUT be true true true…please.

One of those songs: idea starts, Jules is contacted, same day lyric drops in mailbox, first test recordings, some repairs, some more test recording, etc., etc. I felt like doing bit of a Coldplay inspired recording with this one, don’t know if that still can be heard. If yes: great. If no: great too.
