Hearts Aflame
It has been bit of experimenting with the homestudio and the songwriting last few weeks. One of the songs I took for these tests (mostly technical – let me not bother you with that) is this Hearts Aflame/On Fire/Ablaze. It resulted in a recording close to 5 minutes. It somehow felt okay to do that for this one.
Song by Julian Wilson & Johnny Hoeve
STYLE: Pop, ballad, latin, country.
Hearts aflame
Don’t see any further than the next curve in the road
Don’t consider themselves to blame
Hearts on fire
Don’t think of tomorrow and bear no load
Hear the truth and they call it a liar
For anything they hurt
For any thing they crush
For anything they maime
Just don’t blame these hearts aflame
Hearts ablaze
Only hear the words they say themselves
Just don’t see their foolish ways
There’s always the price you pay
There’s always the price
When you throw your heart away
There’s always the price you pay
I can see us walking – still
Along the beach
And though I know now
We’re a postcard memory
I can still hear us talkin
- Of how we would stay together
- Of how we would be as one
How we would never, never…
