Shivers Inside
A calypso kindda tune, must say. I had to keep myself not doing this recording in the style of Harry Belafonte… The idea recording with just the acoustic guitar, some effects added, could almost pass for an upload with a great caribean feel to it and a moonlit night for the “picture”. As usual, that version may come one day. In most cases I like to do a full songwriting demo first to check the song’s potential. I can always do a “listening room” version afterwards (the listening room is where you can hear the recordings that will not be used for any songwriting demos album – see cowriter’s pages).
Because of it’s english title I will not plan this song for the “spanglish” demo series. For that I first have to see if the title can be spanish also. The melody may work in that language too.

Got To Admit (2nd version)

Felt like doing a second version for Got To Admit. Some songs have their demo right away, with others you keep searching, feeling you’re not their yet…
I don’t know ’bout this one. I’ve kept it simple this time and in style of say your band next door. It’s a vocal thing with this song: gimme the right singer and I know what to do.

Crazy Living In The House
This tune was in fact only meant as music you can play when you’ve invited some friends and family and wanna do something unplugged – for all to sing along. With only two chords (D/A) and a “truck drivers gear change” into E/B everyone should be able to play this song – you are invited to give it a try yourself at your upcoming birthday party…
Song by Johnny Hoeve
STYLE: country influences for the vocals, some pop, some latin – let’s forget about styles now and then and just do the mixes…
Got To Admit

This song had been lying around for quite a few years now, and had it first demo recording say 12 years ago. The recording is prove how usefull MIDI can be: I just loaded the midifile again into te recording software, picked some sounds and there it was again. Got to admit, though, that somehow the song has not yet found it’s style, so it will probably mean I have to go from scratch to see where it will take me for yet another version.
Story of song: One day in your life you find that love – this time – is so much more than a happy feeling. It’s a need.
