Kay
Song was – for obvious reasons – title idea by Dave (Darbyshire). He had to wait some time for it to be finished because song at first seemed not to be a “serious” songwriting demo. How can this be interesting for some artist to cover? But he insisted. Now go write this song, and I don’t care any of that songwriting pitching shit – gimme the tune! And so here it is…
Song by Darbyshire & Hoeve
STYLE: I love the songs “Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head” and “Everybody’s Talking” – my aim with this recording was in that line. Guess that is adult contemporary and pop.
Poor Man Down
The title idea came from Clint Eastwood’s movie Flags of our Fathers. I also felt like doing something in style of early Bob Dylan lately (though the vocals turned out more like Barry McGuire’s “Eve of Destruction”. Nothing’s The Same

This may be the first of more to come. Just the acoustic guitar, a melody, some vocals and an interesting lyric (about those stayin’ home when their loved ones are fightin’ a war somewhere). Picture a small group of musicians on stage and no other amplification than some microphones.
Song by Julian Wilson & Johnny Hoeve
STYLE: bit of pop, bit of country. Can be both, I suppose.
